Which age groups can play in the Mina Cup?
The main Mina Cup features boys’ age categories from U12 to U16. U12 teams play 9-a-side and U13–U16 play 11-a-side, with a group stage followed by knockout rounds. What is the tournament format?
Teams are drawn into groups and play a group stage across the first two match days, with the top teams progressing to knockout rounds that build to a final in each age category. It’s a genuinely competitive, high-level environment against international and regional opposition.
How many matches are guaranteed?
Every team is guaranteed a strong run of fixtures: U12, U13 and U14 squads play six games, while U15 and U16 squads play five games. Group matches take place on the first two match days, followed by the knockout rounds and finals.
What are the age categories and birth-year rules?
The Mina Cup runs five boys’ age groups: U12 (9-a-side, born 2015 or later), U13 (11-a-side, born 2014 or later), U14 (11-a-side, born 2013 or later), U15 (11-a-side, born 2012 or later) and U16 (11-a-side, born 2011 or later). U12–U14 matches are two 15-minute halves and U15–U16 are two 20-minute halves.
Is there anything for coaches?
Yes — the tournament includes a dedicated Coaches Forum, a chance for your coaching staff to learn, share ideas and network with coaches from around the world alongside the football.
Where do teams stay?
Teams stay together in full-board accommodation at the official tournament hotel, on a twin-share basis with all meals included, so your group is well looked after from arrival to departure.
Can families and supporters travel too?
Absolutely. The Mina Cup is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, and Dubai is an outstanding destination for travelling families. We can arrange travel, accommodation and experiences for parents and supporters alongside the team.
